ITASCA 2020, Vienna, Austria

Upcoming event

Our ESR3, Farid ASADI, will present the latest results of his Ph.D. thesis in the Fifth International Itasca Symposium at the University of Vienna, Austria.

His presentation entitled: “Numerical modelling of the quasi-brittle behaviour of materials by considering microcracks effect” will be in the Damage Mechanics session on the 19 February 2020 at 16:40, in the Senate Hall (Senatssaal), Universität Wien.

He will talk about a numerical method (DEM) to control the brittleness of simulated materials, with a new approach based on Weibull distribution.  See the program here.

If you are interested, stay tuned for his report about this world-class symposium, soon after his return!
